Paintballers love their gadgets – get down to your nearest shop or click on the UKPBA Member's Directory to discover the whole world of wonderful paintball equipment out their; from body armour to remote activated anti-personnel paint mines (seriously).
On a standard day at any of our accredited member sites, you can expect to have access to the following top of the range paintball equipment:
Paintball Marker

This is your weapon of choice. You can expect to be issued with a semi-automatic marker that has been tested to ensure the exit velocity of the paintball satisfies safety standards.
Paintballs

This is your ammunition. Paintballs are available for purchase on the day and your usage depends on how 'trigger-happy' you are. From all reports, it's more fun to be firing them than being hit by them!
Goggles

These are the most important safety component of your paintball experience. Face masks or goggles vary from full-face goggles to complete goggles that cover the head, ears and face.
Hopper

The hopper is where your paintballs feed from before being fired by the marker. Hoppers typically hold 100-200 paintballs. You may also be issued with a battle pack which contains additional paintballs so that you can reload on the run!
Battle Clothing and Team Markings

This comprises a cover-all garment such as overalls that protects your clothing and also reduces the 'sting' of the impacting paintballs. Some accredited site members also provide overalls with padded collars so as to ensure player safety and comfort. The team markings are usually a coloured arm-band or similar which distinguishes your team from the enemy.
Smoke and Paint Grenades

Smoke and paint grenades are also available, usually at an additional cost or as part of some packages. Smoke grenades provide great cover when confronting or eluding the enemy and paint grenades provide a means of maximum paint coverage during close-in combat.
Body Armour

All 5 star accredited paintball centres on the UKPBA network supply the latest in custom-designed paintball body armour to all players, thus ensuring a day of paintball in complete comfort and safety. A masterpiece of design, the 'suit' is comprised of multiple rigid plates contained within a flexible skin. The protective plates, and the flexible skin, are fully ventilated to prevent a build up of body heat.
